Martin Materials Solutions LLC (“MMS”), a U.S. Corporation based in Twinsburg, Ohio, has received an investment from the U.S. Department of War under Title III of the Defense Production Act (DPA). This investment underscores the critical role of MMS in bolstering U.S. Space Solar Cell Coverglass manufacturing capabilities and addressing national security needs.
The 3-year, $7.1M project is aimed at advancing domestic production infrastructure and reducing reliance on foreign supply chains. By restoring the U.S. manufacturing capability for space solar cell coverglass, a vital component for space systems, this initiative ensures the nation remains at the forefront of space technology and defense.
MMS will leverage its extensive expertise in advanced material design and manufacturing to address a pressing gap in the national supply chain. This initiative represents a significant investment in the domestic economy and supports the nation’s strategic priorities in space exploration and defense.
